"Wake Up" the Community
Here's what's going on with Wake Up and our members.
Wake Up Youth Ministries is constantly gaining members. Even though we are a small group we are active in the community. It's time for our members to speak out and tell you about their daily walk with Christ. We have also included some things that we are currently active in. If you want your story posted let us know.
Lutheran Youth Organization
The first weekend in January, Wake Up Youth Ministries in alliance with Bethel Lutheran Church takes a group of about 20 to 26 believers to Independence, Ohio for a Lutheran convention. This past trip was a huge success for Wake Up. We passed flyers to many of the believers there. Also, we gave a few to the band joining us to praise God, One Life Lost. We were sure to give Bob Lenz, this year's speaker, and Jay Gamelin, last year's speaker a few fliers as well. Laura Hungerford has been elected to the LYO board so, with her help we will have a booth at the convention next year to sell our t-shirts and other merchandise, along with flyers spreading the love of God. If you have any questions e-mail the ministires and a member will get back to you as soon as possible.
Haley's Story
"Wake Up" Your Life: A Life-Line for Teen Depression
Since Haley's Story has been published on our website, co-founder Tom Crew has been pondering on taking the story and making it into something more. Thus came the idea for WUYL. After looking into organizations such as To Write Love On Her Arms, Tom decided to start this new outreach in cooperation with the other founders to help those teens going through hardships throughout their teen years. By clicking on a Haley's Story link you can get to the page for WUYL. You can also access it through our other site: www.wuym.350.com . This is a new outreach and we hope that it may grow along with WUYM and be a successful help line for teens going through these dark times.
God's Peace,
Tom Crew (WUYM co-founder)
